(Beta) How do I create an Album?

Updated this week

Easily design and order an Album or Book directly from your gallery shop.

Pro Tip: Curating photos for your album can be a big job! We recommend creating a Collection of the images you would like to use in your album first, so you can work on it over time, and then when you are ready to build your album you can easily find your selections. Click here to learn more about shopping with your Collections.

Ordering an Album

Select Shop from the top gallery menu to view the shop.

Your photographer may have multiple Album and Book products available. Select the one you would like to order.

Scroll down to preview the product, or click Start Customizing to begin.

Here, you can select your desired:

  • Size

  • Cover material

  • Cover Color

Available customization options will depend on what your photographer offers.

Below, you can view the Product Info, Production & shipping details, and browse photos that showcase a sample of the product.

When you are ready, click Select photos to choose the images you wish to use in the Album design.

Selecting Photos

Click to checkmark the photos you want to use. You can browse and select images from gallery’s Scenes, Collections, Favorites, or use the Search bar. We recommend using Collections.

You can see the number of images you have selected so far in the top-left corner. To view or adjust your selection, click View.

Designing the Album

Edit Album Size and Material

If you wish to change the Album size and/or material, click on the Set-up button in the bottom menu bar.

Then select Size or Cover, depending on what you want to adjust.

Select the new size or material and click Done.

Click Done again when you’ve finished making your changes.

Undo/Redo

Click Undo or Redo in the top-left of the Album Editor to reverse or repeat your last action.

Edit Cover Design

To edit the Album cover, click on the cover page itself, the A icon below it, or the Text icon in the bottom menu bar.

Click the text block to edit it, type your preferred title (for example, your wedding date), and click the Text style button to adjust the font color and font type.

Organize Album Spreads

To rearrange spreads, click the Reorder button.

Then click on the four-sided arrow icon of any spread and drag it to a new position. Click Done when you’re finished.

You can also edit pages from the main Album Editor view:

  • To move a spread, hover over it, click on the four-sided arrow icon, and drag the spread to a new position.

  • To add a spread, click the + icon between or next to existing spreads.

  • To delete a spread, click the trashcan icon below that spread.

Edit Each Spread

In the main Album Designer view, click on any spread to begin editing it.

Crop Photo

To crop any photo, hover over that image and click on the Crop icon.

In the Crop Editor, use the slider to zoom in or out, and click and drag the image to adjust the composition. The light gray area shows the cropped/removed portion, which will not be visible or printed in the Album design. Click Done when finished.

Replace Photo

To replace any image in the spread, click on the Photos button in the bottom menu bar, or hover over the image you wish to replace and click the Photo icon.

An image selection menu will open on the right-hand side. You can browse photos from the full gallery, choose from Scenes, Collections, or use the AI-powered search tool. To replace the image, simply click to checkmark the image you want to use.

If you wish to adjust the crop of the replacement image, click on the Crop button in the bottom menu bar.

Adjust Layout

To adjust the layout design of each spread, click on the Layout icon.

Click the Previous/Next icons to cycle through available layouts, or select View All to choose a specific layout.

In the bottom menu bar, click the number showing how many photos are in the current layout. A dropdown will appear, letting you filter layout options by the number of photos included.

Click on a layout to apply it to the spread. Click Done to return to the Spread Editor.

Then select Done again to confirm your layout changes.

If you choose a layout with more image blocks than your current selection, click an empty block or the Photos button to open the photo selector.

Please Note: If the layout has fewer blocks than your selected photos, extra images will be removed automatically. We recommend removing any unwanted photos first.

Mirror Layout

To flip the image block layout, click the mirror button. Note that this will only flip the layout, not the photos themselves.

Then click Done to save all changes made to this spread.

Add to Cart

Review all spreads to ensure you are happy with the text, design, and photo cropping.

When your Album design is complete (or if you want to save your progress), click Add to Cart.

Please Note: If you make changes after adding the Album to the cart, make sure to click Add to Cart again to save those updates.

Do some items in your Album need attention?

When you add your Album to the cart, it will be checked for missing text, missing photos, or low-quality images. Click View to go directly to the spread in your Album and fix any issues.

Please Note: If a warning indicates a low-quality photo, first check whether the image has been cropped too much. You can adjust the crop or make the image smaller in the Album (for example, avoid a full-page spread). If the quality is still low, you may need to contact your photographer for a higher-resolution version.

If you selected to dismiss a message or leave a spread empty, you can revisit it later by clicking the exclamation point icon and checkmarking to Show dismissed items.

After you’ve fixed or dismissed all the messages, click Add to cart to continue.

Then select to Go to cart or Continue shopping.
